Overview

Before you get confused, no - this place isn't in New York. But it is a sleek city hotel that pairs that central city buzz with all the best bits of a beach holiday. A cracking pool, a beach that might be a little walk away (but we promise it's worth it), and - obviously - all the good food. This hotel's got a bit of everything - from sticky ribs and loaded nachos to pastries and tropical fruit. One of the restaurants is literally called 'Fat Belly,' so that tells you enough about how much they embrace the love of food here. The other one's called 'EAT' (in capitals), so do what the restaurant says and tuck in. No bikini-bod-shaming here.

Food & Drink

• EAT - no, that's not just us shouting at you to stuff your face. It's actually the name of this restaurant located on the 2nd floor, serving up a pretty epic breakfast, from fruit and pastries to toast (yes, with the iconic toast machine), and Thai dishes

• Fat Belly - personally, we love the name of this place. Embrace that food coma. This restaurant's closed on Wednesdays, but you can stop by every other day of the week between 11am and 8pm for a mix of Thai and Western food - think sticky ribs, nachos and more.

• BAR - sometimes, you've just gotta say it how it is. This straight-to-the-point...well, bar, is located by the pool, open from noon to night for all your cocktail and snack cravings

Sports & Entertainment

• Outdoor pool - and we don't mean one of those boring, rectangular ones. Yawn. This one's in a unique splodge shape, surrounded by tropical trees and sun loungers, and it's got a modern water feature, just to add to the vibes

• Kids' corner - it's small, but it's enough to keep the cherubs entertained, trust us. This little outdoor play area with a slide, swingset and see-saw is set right amongst the gardens, shaded by some of the whopping trees so it doesn't get too hot

• Gym - not much to say about this one, but if you're in the mood for a workout (can't relate but you do you), then this is the place to do it
