Check-in times are usually a bit lower compared to Cork departures and Dublin departures (but we still recommend erring on the side of caution, nobody likes having to sprint to the gate with a child under each arm!)

Kerry Airport is a small airport serving County Kerry and the southwest of Ireland. It’s accessible by car, coach, or train. For those travelling by car, there’s a range of parking options available. For those of you who don’t want to drive, coaches run to the airport from most nearby major terminals, and it’s very accessible from Farranfore train station.

Food and drink: The Gateway bar and restaurant is in the main concourse, before security, serving everything from breakfast to sandwiches. Once you are through to the departure lounge it is just the gift shop and your book, so eat on the way in.

Alicante puts you on the Costa Blanca, which means Benidorm and Alicante city. If your dates fall outside the Kerry season, Cork departures and Shannon departures are the next two closest.

By car it is on the N23 between Killarney and Tralee, with short and long-term parking outside the terminal and better rates if you book ahead. Coaches serve the airport from Tralee, Killarney and Limerick. Farranfore station is about 1.5km away, which is a walk along the main road rather than a step off the platform, so allow for it.
