Overview

If you're looking to get out and about in Bangkok, then this hotel's about as convenient as it gets. You're about a 2-minute walk from the BTS Skytrain Station, which is one of the best and cheapest ways to get around the city (for context, a standard fare works out at around 35p!). And if you're not looking to get out and about, well then it's a good thing you have a relaxing spa, a cosy lobby with a kids' corner you can send the little'uns off to, and a poolside breakfast restaurant at your fingertips.

Location

  • The Grand Palace - just over 15 minutes away by taxi, and you might as well pay a visit to the Reclining Buddha while you're there (it's right next door)

  • Khaosan Road - just under 20 minutes away by taxi, perfect for cheap thrills (well, beers... cheap beers)

  • Lumphini Park - around a 20-minute walk or a 10-minute drive away

  • Bangkok Airport - 35 minutes away, by car

Rooms

  • There are Superior Rooms, Deluxe Rooms, Executive Rooms, Junior Suites and One or Two Bedroom Suites, if you want something really snazzy

  • Standard facilities in all rooms include:

    • Air con

    • FREE Wi-Fi

    • TV

    • Tea and coffee facilities

    • Minibar (extra charge)

    • Safety deposit box

    • Telephone

Food & Drink

  • The Square - a fully-revamped restaurant that channels the atmosphere of proper Thai street markets, so you can get your fill of the good stuff, from wagyu beef to Thai noodles

  • Gourmet Bar - open from 7am 'til midnight, this is the place to be for classic breakfast dishes and on-the-go bites, from salads and sandwiches to pastries and desserts

  • La Brioche - you probably guessed from the name, but this place is all about those sweet cravings, so if you've got a sweet tooth, this is where you can drool over the counter (not literally) of cakes, pastries and milkshakes

  • Coffee block - get your caffeine kick (or hot chocolate kick) at this cosy café. And even if you're not really a 'hot drink person', they do a pretty mean 'Iced Choco Bubble'. Don't ask questions, just order it and trust us.

Sports & Entertainment

  • Outdoor pool - it's big, it's refreshing and it's surrounded by sun loungers - what's not to love?

  • Tammachart Day Spa - 'Tammachart' means 'natural' in Thai (there you go, save that one for your Duolingo), so you can probably guess that this place offers all kinds of face and body treatments centred around organic, locally-sourced products. We feel relaxed just thinking about it.

  • In Balance Fitness - this place is decked out with cardio machines, free weights and yoga equipment, so whatever your style of workout, you'll find something here. And if you'd rather completely ignore it and forget that exercise exists for the duration of your holiday, then we approve of that too.
