Overview

Avani Sukhumvit is just across the road from the skytrain, so you can nip about the city exploring the sights. Or, you can chill out at the hotel by the rooftop pool (preferably with a cocktail in hand from The Deck pool bar). • The Grand Palace - take a 25-minute taxi to check out this iconic landmark and, whilst you're in the area, you can visit the Reclining Buddha at Wat Phra Chetuphon temple next door

• Lumphini Park - only a 15-minute taxi ride, so why not take a picnic to the park

• Bangkok Airport - 25 to 35 minutes' transfer to the hotel, depending on the Bangkok traffic
