I have updated my original review, made after the first day at this hotel. We had arrived in three separate parties and all report having experienced pretty dreadful staff attitudes. In the end we had a very enjoyable stay on the whole. It turns out that all the issues related to an individual staff member who had, a few days ago, been brought in at short notice. Throughout our stay, we continued to observe standoffish and uncooperative behaviours towards LGBT people staying at the hotel from one individual. Manager Ana, is now aware and is dealing with matters. On balance I think the hotel and the majority of the staff are to be commended, hence my 4* rating. I have every confidence that El Cid's deserved 5* rating will be restored in the future.

There's lots good about this hotel, and current issues are in hand.

This is the third time I've stayed here with a friend for a few days. The hotel is great value for money, is spotlessly clean and in a good location - just a few minutes walk to the beach and a minute or two from the main shopping area. It is a 1* hotel, with 3* comfort.

Great value hotel

On arrival to El Cid I was greeted pleasantly and it was a quick check in, The room overlooking the Main Street to the north of the hotel was brilliant no real noise and although I changed rooms later in my stay it had nothing to do with the room just my friend and I needed sep rooms. The breakfast is very good prob the best in Sitges the choice was a lot and the hours on which you can have brekkie is long. 

All in all even though only a small hotel it was ideally suited and with a pool too. I enjoyed it so much I tried to get here for my September visit alas as popular it was booked. 

However I shall be booking for 2025s Visits.

Best little Hotel in Sitges

Pictures area bit different form reality. Hotel structure is quite old, elevator is present but quite narrow. Breakfast is not so rich, but overall good. Bathroom in my room was REALLY small. Overall was cleaned but when entering did not perceive a good smell. There's no parking (you have to park 200 mts from there). You can take baggage away from car in the front, with the hope no city police is passing by.
