Hotel highlights

• We love options, and here you've got five swimming pools. Ranging from adults-only, one just for the kids, and a full-on waterpark with twisty-turny slides and a wave pool to get into the surfer spirit.

• Plenty of activities for the whole fam to bond (or argue, depends how competitive you are), like tennis, mini golf and air hockey.

• We don't want to hear the words 'I'm hungry'. With two buffet restaurants and two snack bars, there's food all day, every day, at all times (well, till midnight, but you get the idea).

Location

• A speedy 3-minute drive to the beach, or if you're FitBit is getting restless, pop it on and head on a 22-minute walk

• A 40-minute drive from Fuerteventura Airport - might seem like a slog, but half the journey is coastal, so at least you've got some pretty views

Food & Drink

• Two Restaurants - serving up all the buffet-style goodies, and a live-cooking station where your mouth will be watering watching your dins dins getting cooked in front of you

• Two Snack Bars - including a fast-food bar with pizza, burgers, and hot dogs (all the naughty stuff), you can save the healthy eating till you're back home

• Main Bar - did someone say 'cocktails'? All day? Till midnight? Oh yeah, it's not a jolly without copious amounts of cocktails being consumed

• Mini-Market - to grab all the essentials. No, we don't mean sun cream or water. We're talking Fanta lemon and a big old bag of Lays!

Depending on occupancy levels and the season, the Sports Bar, Krakatoa Bar and à la carte restaurant may be out of service. In exchange, all-inclusive guests would receive a lunchtime menu at the Etna Bar, snacks at the buffet restaurant or Etna Bar, and drinks at the Krakatoa Bar.

Sports & Entertainment

• Five Pools - yes, five! From a swimming pool for the kiddos to an adults-only pool with waterslides so the grown-ups aren't missing out on any aqua-action!

• Crater Park Water World - a 5000 m² waterpark (aka. pretty bloomin' huge) decked out with a wave pool, pool with climbing wall (spoiler: it is as fun as it sounds) and of course, plenty of waterslides to slip 'n slide down

• Tennis and 18-hole Mini-Golf Course - time to get your competitive hat on for a little family tournament

• Games Room - continue the friendly (or unfriendly) competitions at the games room, decked out with air hockey, a pool table and video games

• Fitness Center - equipped with weights and cardio machines for a quick holiday gym sesh (we'd rather be at the pool with a cocktail, but you do you)

• Mini Club - where the little 'uns can make some new mates, and take part in tonnes of fun activities

• Entertainment - the lil ones are sorted, now for the whole fam there's daytime games and tournaments, as well as evening activities

• Watersports - the action doesn't stop here, the Yolo Riders (that's their actual name, we're not messing) provide sailing, surfing, windsurfing and standup paddleboarding lessons. Yolo after all
