Overview

Vale Del Rei Hotels and Villas is a special retreat, located 3km south of the city of Lagoa and close to the pretty resort of Carvoeiro, on the way to Marinha beach. The complex is superbly surrounded by typical regional characteristics, in a place of safety, peace and tranquillity, with exotically elegant interiors. The central location of the hotel is an ideal starting point for a pleasant discovery trip of Algarve.

Vale Del Rei Hotels and Villas offers accommodation with tasteful and modern decor, a unique mixture of colours and textures of African inspiration, rich chocolate and warm earthy tones are enhanced by an interesting combination of materials, such as wicker and suede furnishings, wood and ceramic terracotta flooring and ample greenery scattered throughout the resort.

There are 39 double bedrooms each with Queen or two twin beds, full bathroom with hair dryer, air conditioning, Satellite TV, pin-code safe, and a large veranda with table and deck chairs.

There are 15 one-bedroom suites which can accommodate up to 3 people (or 2 adults and 2 children) with the above amenities as well as a separate living room with sofa.

There are also 22 Duplex townhouses (self-catering for up to 5 adults or 4 adults and 2 children). They have queen or single beds, full bathroom and guest bathroom, air conditioning, open fire, fully equipped kitchen (microwave, washing machine, refrigerator, stove with electric plate, table and utensils), living room with sofa-bed, TV, fireplace and a dinner table.

Food & Drink

The complex offers 2 bars and a fine traditional restaurant, where the chef provides tasty Portuguese ingredients with a Mediterranean flair. The Algarvian cuisine is dominated by the superb fresh fish and sea food from the near Atlantic. The famous Cataplana originally prepared on the open fire place, is a must for every guest. The influence of the former Portuguese colonies contributes to the richness of the gastronomy as well as the Moorish heritage and of course international cuisine is also served.

Sports & Entertainment

Sporting and leisure activities include two adult swimming pools, one children’s swimming pool, a floodlit tennis court, children’s playground, extensive green areas with Mediterranean plants and trees including almond carob and olive trees, lake and stream. The health centre has a sauna, Turkish baths, gymnasium and a massage room.

The beaches in the area are considered the best beaches in the Algarve. There is also complimentary transportation to nearby beaches and Carvoeiro town.
