Overview

Melia Cozumel is a family friendly hotel, located just metres from the beach. The hotel's best bits include an à la carte fish restaurant serving the catch of the day, an adults-only pool with a swim-up bar and an unbeatable kids' programme for little ones - our favourite feature being the kids' 'Car Ed' class, complete with driving lessons in a mini electric car - they even get a driving license to show off to their friends when they get home!

Rooms

There are five different room types at the Melia Cozumel. The Melia Garden View Rooms and Melia Ocean View Rooms are both large enough for a family of 4 (2 adults + 2 children) and come with all the essentials, including air conditioning, FREE Wi-Fi, toiletries and a mini-bar stocked with soft drinks, water and beer. Each room also has a 42" TV, a radio/alarm clock, a safe (big enough for a laptop), an iron with ironing board and a hairdryer.

The three other room types are part of The Level, the hotel's exclusive service, offering guests a more luxurious stay with added extras and VIP treatment. The Level Grand Premium, The Level Royal Suite and The Level Family Suite (with two bedrooms) all come with the standard amenities listed above, plus deluxe toiletries, bathrobes and slippers, Nespresso machine, teapot and USB sockets.

The Level guests can also enjoy access to a private check-in and check-out service with complementary refreshments, an exclusive lounge, a private beach with a concierge service, Bali Beds and priority for reservations at the hotel's speciality restaurants.

Food & Drink

Melia Cozumel has three restaurants, two snack bars and five drinks venues to choose from. Their main restaurant, La Isla, serves an all-inclusive international buffet for breakfast, lunch and dinner, with theme nights and an early-riser continental breakfast to ensure every guest is catered for. Guests can also choose to pay an additional supplement to eat at the two à la carte restaurants: the Fish House, and La Iguana, the Mexican grill restaurant with a stunning ocean view: trust us, it's a must-visit.

La Iguana snack bar and Elxyr cafe are open into the early evening for a bite to eat or a caffeine hit, and the hotel's five bars will keep you going into the night with a selection of cocktails and refreshing soft drinks.

Sports & Entertainment

When we say there's something for everyone, we mean there's something for everyone...

Water baby? You'll love the large outdoor pool and water-based activities: aqua aerobics, water polo, kayaking and paddle boarding, to name just a few.

More of a land-dweller? There's ping pong, archery, darts, boccia and shuffle board. Plus, ample sports facilities are available, from tennis and basketball courts to batting cages.

Sit-back-and-relaxer? Hammock lounge. Enough said.

Culture vulture? Find the archaeological ruins of San Gervasio less than 5 miles from the hotel.

Techy teenager? The video zone has an XBOX and PlayStation, plus there are air hockey and pool tables in the games room.

And of course there's plenty to keep the little ones entertained at Kidsdom, the kids' entertainment programme, with a mini club (open seasonally), outdoor playground and supervised pool games. Children are also sure to love the evening entertainment, with activities such as camping nights and mini discos.
