Overview

A romantic retreat by the sea, with couples' massages, delicious dinners and sunset sips on the beach: sounds pretty darn perfect to us. No matter what kind of couple you are: sporty, adventurous, relaxed (or all of the above), you'll find your niche at Ambre A Sun Resort. It's got golfing on an island, for starters. There's also a souvenir shop, a tropical spa and a whole 'beach squad' of waiters to refill your rosé while you sit with sandy toes.

• Indigo - traditional Mauritian classics and a fusion of international dishes are served up at this buffet-style restaurant, open for brekky, lunch and dinner

• Dolce Vita - you'll really be living 'the sweet life' with the homemade pasta, wood-fired pizza and incredible Italian wines that this place has on the menu

• La Plage - an al fresco venue, specialising in Mediterranean-Mauritian fusion

• Coral Pool Bar - swim, sit, sip, repeat. Whether it's a green juice in the morning, or a spritz in the afternoon, you're sure to stay hydrated here

• H&H Lounge - the place to catch the big game, or have a go at your best Sinatra on the karaoke

• Shaker's Night Club - boogie the night away until 2am (open on select nights)

• Ti-Bar - head here for sundowners on the beach.... cue the cocktails!

• 'Beach Squad' of butlers for drinks whilst you sunbathe on the sand

• Just so you know, the all inclusive package ends at 11pm each day, so all drinks after this time will be charged. The package starts again at breakfast every morning.
