Location

• You'll be landing into Male International Airport and get to live your best James Bond life zooming across to the resort on a 40-minute speedboat ride

• It'll be very hard not to miss the beach, you're surrounded by them. This resort is on its own island, so you've got beaches left, right and center (erm.. did we just describe heaven?!)

Food & Drink

• Kandooma Cafe - you'll be seeing this place at least three times a day for your brekkie, lunch and dinner cravings with international and Maldivian dishes on offer. You can sit in the air-conditioned goodness, or dine al-fresco with the Indian Ocean as your backdrop.

• Bokkuraa Coffee Club - offering hearty dishes and light bites right by the pool, if there's anything you need to try, it's their homemade ice-cream in a whole load of flavours

• The Kitchen - needs no explanation, the name says it all. It's actually not just a kitchen though, it's a kitchen with bangin' South East Asian dishes, fresh seafood and stunning sea views!

• Bokkuraa Pool Bar - relax in the shaded coconut grove (perfect if you're starting to look like a lobster!) where the only decision you'll have to make is whether to munch on a fresh salad, or wood-fired pizza, or BBQ yourself a fresh steak or joint of lamb

• The Lounge - like The Kitchen this name says it all, this bar is literally open all day for any refreshments. But if you're going to come at any time, it needs to be sunset. Bring your camera.

• The Rooftop Deck & Bar - okay we said you need to go to The Lounge at sunset, but we'd 100% give this place a visit at sunset too. Here you've got a huge menu of tasty cocktails, beer and wine, as well as 360-degree views of the Indian Ocean.

• Bar-Aveli Beach Bar - this cool, calm beachy bar offers comfy beanbags to chillax on whilst you sip on your fave drink and munch on light snacks. This place is also fantastic to watch the sunset. Alternating between the three bars is key!

Sports & Entertainment

• Outdoor Pool - with a beachfront location, because no one wants to be missing out on them beachy views?! Perfect for a cool dip and sunbathe!

• Fitness Center - so there's no excuses to not get a quick workout in, and don't worry - there's no missing out on the gorge resort views as this gym has glass walls!

  • If you'd rather be out and about, the island has many cycle or running paths!

• Spa - if you wanna pamper yourself anywhere, it's got to be in the Maldives. You can relax with a massage or beauty treatment or relax in the spa gardens. Either way, you'll be feeling way more zen.

• Kids' Activities - if the little uns' need a bit of entertainment, there's a dedicated kids' room with a mini library and a games room.

• Entertainment - there's table tennis and ping pong table which just screams 'family competition'. In the evenings there's live entertainment and cocktail nights.

• Watersports - you can't be coming all the way to the Maldives and not check out its marine life?! If you're a certified diver, you get two FREE scuba dives per day (if staying three nights or more). You might be able to spot the cast of Finding Nemo!

If you’re travelling via seaplane, flights can only operate between 09:00 and 15:00. If you land in Male after 15:00, or if there are any sudden weather changes, you’ll need to stay overnight in an airport hotel. Don’t worry – if this is the case then we’ll be in touch to make the arrangements. It’s also worth noting that, like most holiday transfers, seaplanes will stop at multiple resorts on the way.
