Welcome to the world of beach picnics, seafront workouts and hammock bars. Sold yet? We definitely are - we've already stuck the annual leave request in. Book a stay at this hotel and you'll be in for a good ol' chilled-out time. If you've ever dreamt of a beachfront holibobs where you can spend your days drinking from coconuts, snorkelling and filling your face with seafood fresh from the grill, then stop dreaming and start booking, 'cause this is it.

Location

• Literally smack-bang along the beachfront. You'll hardly ever need shoes.

• 20 minutes from Velana International Airport by speedboat

Rooms

• All the villas and suites are swanky AF (And Fancy), with a modern design and comfortable amenities

• Each suite or villa comes with at least one of the following:

• Other standard facilities include air conditioning, satellite TV, a minibar, safety deposit box, hairdryer and FREE Wi-Fi

• Bageecha - a bright and breezy dining spot that celebrates all things Maldivian - including locally sourced ingredients and produce from the organic gardens

• The Lagoon - an over-water restaurant exclusively for Water Villa guests, serving breakfast, lunch and dinner with ocean views from sunrise to sunset

• Ristorante al Tramonto - classic Italian dishes served on an open-air terrace with glowing lanterns and panoramic ocean views

• Fukuya Teppanyaki - tuck into a range of delicious sushi and tempura dishes, plus locally-sourced fish cooked fresh on the teppanyaki grill at lunch and dinner

• Farumathi - a cute little seafood restaurant perched at the end of the over-water jetty for the best sunset views over the ocean

• Captain's Bar - all the luxey island vibes and your go-to spot for a poolside cocktail - day or night

• Beach Bar - refresh between watersports with an ice-cold bev on the sand

• Dhaabani Coffee Shop - a 24-hour coffee shop with fully-trained baristas to give you your caffeine kick in style

Sports & Entertainment

• Outdoor pool - dunk, dive and refresh to your heart's content, or just plop on one of the surrounding sun loungers for some downtime

• Land sports - keep dry with a good ol' game of basketball, beach volley, tennis, squash, table tennis or pool

• Watersports - grab your snorkel, your canoe, your paddle board or your sea bob scooter (as cute as it sounds), and get up, close and personal with the island's marine life

• Wavy Navy Kids' Club - the kiddos will be all over this mini splash pool and light, airy kids' club with beanbags, craft tables and even a 'nap lounge'! (Tempted to ask the boss if we can have one of these in the office.)

• Crow's Nest Viewpoint - head to the beach to find this elevated wooden deck, inspired by  a lifeguard tower - only there's a super cosy den with pillows and throws at the top. Race you there!

• Spa treatments - hit the spa for a 10/10 pamper sesh with some of the island's most traditional treatments and therapies

• Beach picnic - request a beach picnic in one of three themes: Mediterranean Moments, Indian Summer (vegetarian), or the 'Lucky Dip' menu - all presented in a cute little wicker basket with portable board games so you can enjoy a chilled day on the sand

Just a heads up that the outdoor swimming pool is undergoing urgent repair work from the 15th of July for four weeks.

Transfers to the Maldives hotels are from Male International Airport via either domestic aircraft, seaplane, or speedboat. Luggage allowance varies depending on transfer type:

• Domestic aircraft (20kg hold luggage and 5kg hand luggage)

• Seaplane (20kg hold luggage and 5kg hand luggage)

• Speedboat (No luggage restrictions)

Immediately upon arrival at the airport, you will be met by either airport or hotel staff, who will escort you to your transfer departure point, and will be on hand to answer any questions you may have regarding transfers and timings. Please note that other flight arrivals or sudden changes in weather might mean you need to wait up to 3 hours before boarding the transfer.

If you’re travelling via seaplane, flights can only operate between 09:00 and 15:00. If you land in Male after 15:00, or if there are any sudden weather changes, you’ll need to stay overnight in an airport hotel. Don’t worry – if this is the case then we’ll be in touch to make the arrangements. It’s also worth noting that, like most holiday transfers, seaplanes will stop at multiple resorts on the way.
