Hotel Highlights

• Your tropical paradise : found! The entire resort is an UNESCO biosphere reserve, one of the very few remaining sights around so you better catch it while its afloat!

• You've heard of big resorts, well how does a whole island sound? Surrounded by crystal clear, aqua-blue waters!

• The trip of a lifetime - for the whole fam! There's so much on offer to keep the kids and the parents (maybe even the grandparents) entertained!

• More than plenty! Obviously when being off-grid you gotta ensure you've got everything you need - there's several bars and restaurants dotted about to satisfy every craving!

Location

• It may take you the best part of a whole day to actually travel halfway across the world but don't worry too much, once you land at Velena International Airport (MLE) its a 35 minute trip to the resort either airborne via seaplane or waterborne via speedboat (pack the motion sickness tablets just in case!)

• The resort itself you ask? Oh its spacious. In fact, it takes up its own entire island! On the western edge of paradise found, the Baa Atoll, a UNESCO biosphere reserve so you can expect to find nature at its best!

• Beaches you say? Well just look around and breathe in the salty air! The island is surrounded by the rich and teeming-with-life Maldivian waters, shallow for miles with white sandy beaches and in that irresistible shade of aqua-blue!  

• Please Note: Immediately upon arrival at the airport, you will be met by either airport or hotel staff, who will escort you to your transfer departure point, and will be on hand to answer any questions you may have regarding transfers and timings. Please note that other flight arrivals or sudden changes in weather might mean you need to wait up to 3 hours before boarding the transfer.
      If you’re travelling via seaplane, flights can only operate between 09:00 and 15:00. If you land in Male after 15:00, or if there are any sudden weather changes, you’ll need to stay overnight in an airport hotel. Don’t worry – if this is the case then we’ll be in touch to make the arrangements. It’s also worth noting that, like most holiday transfers, seaplanes will stop at multiple resorts on the way.

• Forget standard rooms. Here you get to pick between a villa, or, *drumroll please* a Pavilion! All with breath-taking views of the island from the frescoed balconies and of course decked out in all the five star amenities you can imagine...and then some! Here's the lowdown:

Food & Drink

• The Ocean Terrace - and the writing's on the wall, the ocean views here are totally unmatched, hence why they were reserved for the resort's main restaurant! The international menu features continental and Maldivian flavours from brekkie through to dinner!

• Charcoal - The spot that will give dad's barbeque a run for it's money! Charcoal grills fired up to sear fresh seafood that was practically still swimming moments ago! The steak is dry aged and of course the sommelier is on standby to recommend the perfect bottle to pair your meal with - anybody getting hints of oak and honey?

• The Skipjack Bar - But you want to skip this bar, Jack. Your easy breezy reliable option for when chilling poolside with picky bits, wood-fired pizzas, noodles, iced coffee and anything else you might crave available all day!

• Tribe - Thee place to catch a sunset on the island. A small fisherman's hut on the white sand with miles of Maldivian blue as the backdrop serving up your favourite cocktails! Melt into the sofa next to the dancing fire and chiiill to the DJ's groovy tunes!

• Smugglers shack - Budgie smugglers not necessary, but what is, necessary is that you give the bartender a go at your favourite cocktail in this hidden beachside surfer's hangout! There's light bites on offer but get this - the menu changes daily! Depending on the chef's mood you may be getting sushi, tapas, tacos or neither!

• Hammock - Find one, and swing into a nap while you nurse that food coma. This spot is right by the lobby and is the charming resident patisserie if you will. Coffees, stupendous confectionaries, baked goods, kombucha, fresh juices and much more on offer for your grab-and-go-needs!  

• Petit Bistro - Although the restaurant is of regular size, its made especially for the hotel's littler residents! Dedicated to kids, this spot is prime mingling territory! Over lunch kids can tuck into their favourite pizza and even try their hand at cooking in a safe, supervised environment! Next stop: Junior master chef!

• Adrift - Save this one for a special occasion! You get to pick the most instagrammable spot on the island (literally any will do) and the hotel staff will prepare a sand dugout for you complete with candlelit ambiance, a wood fire and your own private chef and butler preparing and serving up a seafood barbeque feast! Hard to imagine saying no to that!

Sports & Entertainment

• Splash - You're invited to make one, at the hotel's main hangout spot: an infinity pool who's blue overlooks and blends into the tropical waters a few feet away! Complete with sun loungers, umbrellas and a pool bar serving up your fave ice-cold bevvies!

• Zoom - Past each other, slicing through the waters on a jet ski or let the wind guide you with a kite surf! With waters as tranquil and crystal clear as these there's so much on offer for the thrill seekers and adrenaline junkies out there!

• Dive - And if you can't, snorkel. You'd be doing yourself a disservice by not taking advantage of these tropical waters. You can basically meet the entire cast of nemo (hopefully minus the sharks) on a casual little doggy paddle over shallow waters!

• The spa - No better place to zen out to full on Nirvana than the spa, secluded in the middle of the Indian ocean with the sound of the wind wooshing through the palm trees. Sold yet? How about taking on one of the several tailored massage therapies on offer or get yourself rejuvenated with a specialized beauty treatment for that unmissable holly-jolly glow!
