The property offers 71 beautifully-designed guest rooms, spread across three floors. Each room features a private balcony with ocean, mountain, city or garden views, along with an en-suite bathroom finished with oak and elegant Portuguese marble. Further facilities include individually-regulated air conditioning/heating, hairdryer, cable TV, Internet access, bathrobes/slippers, mini-bar, direct-dial telephone and a free-to-use safe.

Food & Drink

The main restaurant ‘La Belle Terrasse’ offers creative gourmet cuisine, with the choice of both indoor and outdoor seating. Designed in a traditionally elegant and romantic Madeiran style, the restaurant serves delicious local and international dishes for both breakfast and dinner. For lighter bites with a twist, there’s also the relaxing pool bar with magnificent views across Funchal Bay, and the chance to enjoy ‘Royal Tea and Coffee’ with fresh scones and pastries on the veranda or terrace. Finally, the hotel offers the relaxing ‘Albatroz’ piano bar inside the manor house, with a range of refreshing alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages accompanied by beautiful music.

The hotel offers a stunning south-facing swimming pool complex, including an indoor heated pool with a passage leading to two split-level outdoor pools, one of which is also heated. Further features include a well-equipped gym, a reading room, and 12,000 square metres of landscaped gardens, complete with a swan pond, fountains and a nine-hole mini-golf course.
