Location

• Located on the seafront, the views at Paganelli are to die for with a clear view across the San Marco basin out to the island of San Giorgio Maggiore. Hop on Vaporetto Line 2 at San Zaccaria and you'll be on San Giorgio Maggiore in less than 5 minutes, where you can visit the church of San Giorgio Maggiore, the monastery, the bell tower and the Borges Labyrinth.

• Just a 7 minute walk into Piazzo San Marco to view the gilded Basilica di San Marco and the Doge's Palace for our history buffs! Top tip: pass by the Bridge of Sighs on your way, this bridge would give prisoners their last view of Venice as they crossed from the interrogation rooms of the Doge's Palace to their cells in the New Prison.

• Speaking of bridges, Venice's most iconic Rialto Bridge is a 13 minute walk from the hotel. Get your selfie stick ready! The bustling Rialto neighbourhood is just over the bridge for a real taste of Venice.

• From Marco Polo Venice Airport it's a 15 minute drive to Piazzale Roma, where you can hop on Line 1 or 2 Vaporetto to San Zaccaria. This takes around 45 minutes and once you arrive at San Zaccaria you're only 50 metres from the hotel, talk about door-to-door!
