• The journey from Venice Marco Polo Airport takes around 1 hour 10 minutes if you hop on the Alilaguna ferry and get off at the stop called San Zaccaria or you can hire a private water taxi which takes 30 minutes door to door (and is a pretty flipping cool way to rock up to your jolibobs)

• Orientalbar & Bistrot – grand is an understatement. Walking into this bar and Bistrot will have you feeling like royalty, with it’s red velvet sofas to lounge on while you sip an Oriental Spritz (it’s a must-try), plus the food is a mix of Venetian cuisine and Eastern spices that we didn’t even know we needed

• The Garden – a leafy green terrace with an orangery tucked away from busy Venice. The best bit? You can have breakfast here every morning from April-October
