Overview

Oh we do like to be beside the seaside, oh we do like to be in Sicilyyyy... so you can see why we love the Mangia's Pollina Resort. Right on the beachfront (of course) and with five restaurants, including a pizzeria that you dough not want to miss, this place combines the best of both worlds: sea and food. Speaking of, their seafood is excellent, too. But when Mangia means 'eat up!' in Italian, what do you really expect? Some friendly advice, pack your stretchiest swim shorts, you're gonna need 'em.

Location

  • Just a short stroll to the hotel's private beach

  • A supermarket and restaurants are five-minutes' drive away in the village of Finale

  • For a day trip to remember, head to Cefalu, just a 20-minute taxi ride away for it's famous cathedral, picturesque houses built right on the sea's edge and the chance to buy a lobster pot lampshade - quirky!

  • Palermo Airport is about 1 hour 30 minutes drive away

  • Catania Airport is about 2 hours 30 minutes drive away

Rooms

  • These rooms are just beachy! Seriously, they've got a coastal theme

  • Choose from Standard Rooms, Superior Rooms, Deluxe Rooms or Suites, with views of the Tyrrhenian Sea, Aeolian Islands or natural greenery of the resort

  • What to expect...

    • Balcony or garden space for that al fresco lifestyle (in some rooms)

    • Air con

    • Flat screen TV

    • Mini bar

    • Safety box for valuables

    • Hairdryer (phew!)

Food & Drink

  • Perseo - tuck in at this buffet with a view. Floor to ceiling windows, dishes from all over the world, and of course, pasta... so much pasta.

  • Al Grano - mamma mia this place does good pizza! Trust us, you won't mind spending your dough here at dinner

  • Scausu Grill - make sure to reserve a spot at this seafront terrace - when you see their seafood dishes, you'll want to get all up in this grill

  • Kaigan - sushi! Not typically Italian, but delicioso nonetheless. Sashimi, poke... the menu is fresh fish and fantastic flavours, plus the views are just fabulous

  • Donna Floriana - an Italian bistrot with authentic dishes and seafood that's worth writing home about

  • Bars - sip a spritz while the sun goes down at the aptly names Narciso Sunset Bar, relax at the poolside Lime Bar or snack away at the Beach Bar with a beer and the sand between your tanned toes

Just so you know... dining at the Perseo buffet restaurant is included in the half board and full board concepts. All other restaurants come at an extra charge and you may need to reserve a table in advance.
