I paid in Sterling by mistake instead of euros to stay at this Studio complex in 2019.  I contacted the owner Kim re this mistake.  No reply.  I couldn’t go for the two weeks booked at the start of Covid 19 and contacted Apollo to request refund of my overpaid in full amount.  £532.00, The reply was ,Quote “ I haven’t  enough funds in my bank account to pay refund but I will defer the booking until your next holiday”. As holidays have continued to be cancelled  nearly two years have passed and I still haven’t had a refund despite repeated requesst for it. I did ask her if it would help to pay me back in instalments.  No reply once again except no funds in her bank account again.  .  As I am elderly and live on a pension this has hurt me financially and if I get the opportunity to holiday in Alykes  again it certainly won’t be at the Apollo Studios in Alykes.   I am very disappointed in her lack of response and as I’m in the U.K. I feel I can’t do much more than ask her, which has fallen on deaf ears.  I also know from friends living there that she has been quite busy with holidaymakers so as for funds in her account… well. Finally managed to get a holiday this September and called in to see her for the refund her response was “there are other people to pay back before you” although it looked like the Apollo had an complete referb! Do not book unless you are happy to risk being ripped off!!

Do not trust the Apollo & Kim Kennedy!!!

Visited this restaurant because of trip-advisor ratings and reviews. Initial welcome was nice and friendly, maybe a little too much. Initial service was prompt and efficient. We ordered hummus and pitta to share as a starter. Very little pitta so we ordered more. Service was so slow that our main courses arrived before the pitta!Main course was nice but we were left totally alone waiting to order our deserts. Eventually attracted a waiter who said he couldn’t take our order as he only served food and bleared tables. Nobody else came. We gave up in the end and asked for the bill 3 times. Went to the yolk in the end as a last resort and complained. We had waited for 45 minutes. Very disappointed. The venue was lovely and good good but the service appalling. We won’t go back. 

Go to Paolos across the road instead. Wonderfully friendly, great food, prompt service. Lots of locals eat there too.

Studio was clean and all you needed for a lovely holiday, Don't expect it to be like home. If you want the Ritz then don't go there it isn't for you. If you want to relax and live your holiday in the slow lane then you couldn't find a better place. Pool and Pool bar is well worth a visit and there English breakfast is AMAZING and FANTASTIC Value. If you need any thing just ask the staff and it will be sorted for you. TOTALLY RELAXING     

Remember your in Alykes and not at home.

Had a great time at the Apollo. Staff very friendly and breakfast here is ace. Can recommend this place as we all enjoyed our time here.Will definitely be back. Apollo is set back from the village in a nice quiet area so you get a good nights sleep.
