Andavis Hotel

The hotel reflects the price, we wanted a cheap week away.  The rooms are clean, but basic. maids come every day apart from Sundays, air-con was 8 euros a night extra. Everything is a bit dated and the showers were pretty much hand held there were no bracket to hook the shower head up. One disappointment was we asked to keep the room on the last day for a shower, we couldn't keep ours. They said there was a toilet we could use to change. Then they found us a room to shower and we paid 40 euros for it. We stressed constantly we just wanted to shower before we left. They never once stated the toilet they referred to had a shower, so we paid 40 euros when we didn't need to. 
The area around the hotel was full of bars and shops. The beach was under 5 minutes walk and the airport was a 10 minute drive away 20 euros in a taxi.

Basic but we wasn't expecting much for the price

We had a lovely 4 night stay at the Andavis hotel. It was in the perfect location; close to both the airport and the sea. It is a family owned hotel and the staff are lovely and were happy to help when whenever we needed directions or needed to order a taxi. The hotel rooms are basic but very clean. If I was to offer any advice to people who are planning on staying here it would be to bring an extension cable (there was only one plug socket) and to pay for the air conditioning (€8 a day). Overall great value for money, would recommend.

The best budget hotel in Kos

This is our second stay at the Andavis this year 
We find the rooms here suit our purpose.. cleaned every day… bedding and towels replaced regularly 
This is a budget hotel and if we’d taken too much notice of the bad reviews we would never have come here the first time 
Anna is great.. nothing is a bother to her… all she wants is all the guests to have a comfortable and enjoyable holiday 
We will be coming back next year and we hope more people will ignore the bad reviews written by people who obviously expected a 5 star hotel at a 2 star price 

Another comfortable stay at the Andavis

Booked this budget hotel at short notice. Because of this we weren't expecting much of a room.
How pleasantly surprised we were. Ample room to move around. Good storage. Good fridge.
There was always piping hot water and the shower had very good pressure.
The cleaner was excellent. Room cleaned every day and sheets and towels on the third day.
It's five minutes walk to the beach and beach restaurants. Also just a five minute walk to the gift and tourist shops. The restaurants around the harbour are another couple of minutes away.
It's a ten minute journey by taxi from the airport.
Anna on reception was lovely. Kind, welcoming and helpful.
We were on the front of the hotel on the 2nd floor. Lovely breeze on the balcony,which was very secluded and private. It was great to watch the sun dip over the mountains and also see planes coming and leaving the airport.
If you are looking for a budget hotel I would certainly recommend this one.
