Location

• Literally 30 seconds to walk to the nearest beach. It's that close. It's also private.

• Kos Airport is on the other side of the island. But lucky for you the island ain't that big, so it'll only take you 40-minutes by car

• Kos Center is a speedy 13-minute drive - with its history stuff, wild nightlife and an I heart Kos sign which 100% belongs on the Instagram stories

• KOIA features simple but elegant suites and villas (yep, no standard rooms around here!) with warm, earthy decor and large, furnished terraces with panoramic views of the surrounding landscape. If you weren't sold already some have hot tubs and private pools. Oh, and an upgraded minibar, interactive TV and swish coffee machine for your caffeine fix. We're not even done yet.

• Decide whether you want a Junior Suite with hot tub, cave Junior Suite, Sea View Suite with private pool, Deluxe Suite with private pool and the only and only, The Villa.

Food & Drink

• Thyme Restaurant - fuel up on a breakfast buffet of local dishes, like fresh Greek cheese, quality olive oil, fresh fruit and homemade pastries. If you want a brekkie to remember, they do a floating breakfast in your private pool. Deffo one for the Insta stories. Enjoy a Meze lunch and delish meal for dinner, as well as local wine and cocktails (yum)

• Pool Bar & Restaurant - keep your precious tanning time and sample tasty Meze dishes by the pool, as well as cocktails and wine. By night get all cosy by the open fire with more cocktails and wine!

• Elixir Bar - this is the first place you'll be visiting for your welcome drink. Have you ever had a herb cocktail? Well, buckle up, because that's what you'll be sampling here, as well as homemade liquors, mocktails, fruit juices and smoothies.

Sports & Entertainment

• Ydor Wellness Area - you'll find it hard to not properly relax here, whether you're having a dip in the heated pool with stunning sea views, or having a massage with all-natural body oils. There's also a sauna, steam baths and salt wall, known for having lots of health benefits

• Yoga & Pilates Classes - which take place out in nature, it's a chance to properly unwind and relieve any tension

• Food Tastings - sample local Greek wine, Greek coffee (traditionally brewed in sand. Don't knock it till you've tried it though!), olive oil (also known as Greek liquid gold) and local honey
