Palm Bay Hotel

We didn’t stay at the hotel but stumbled across Palm Bay while strolling round Sissi looking for somewhere to have a light snack. Location is very good, the walk through the “garden” area is beautiful & the views are stunning but the prices are ridiculous.  When I questioned the 17€ we were charged for 2 slices of toast with jam, they told me I’d requested continental breakfast so I told them we won’t be returning.  On a positive, the jam was very nice but certainly not worth the charge.  
Two stars, one for the beautiful setting & one for the jam.

Nice jam, shame about the price

Spent there a week in the end of August 2024. The hotel was absolutely lovely, rooms very simple, beautiful private balcony, walls are thick and soundproof. Room had air-conditioner (extra cost €8 per day) and small refrigerator. Hair dryer in the bathroom. Room service was great. Late check-out cost €30. 

Staff was very nice, especially all the men at front desk. We accidentally broke small plastic table on balcony and wanted to compensate it (even tho it's a cheap plastic €5 table), but the guy at front desk was like ... "it's okay. things happen... no need to compensate". 
Everyone saying food was awful.. We didn't think so. It was a cheap hotel and we didn't expect fancy food. It did repeat after few days but there was enough variety to choose from. What I'd complain about is the juices - very bad, unnatural tasting. Glasses were tiny, had to go several times to fill the water glass. And during dinner no drinks were served, not even water. 
But we got used to these inconveniences pretty fast. Other than that everything was wonderful, the place, atmosphere, the small bay. Swimming was fun.. even tho there's no sand beach, we had to climb a little on rocks but had our private small spot to jump into water. 

We had kittens behind our balcony every day and one of them came to our room at night :)... also a small geko was in the bathroom one morning. Very cute. We don't think we could have had this kind of experience in some other fancy hotel.

Was sad to leave.

Lovely place and great staff

The meal was really disappointing—lacked flavor and quality—but I must admit, the place itself is quite charming. The ambiance is lovely, the decor is inviting, and the staff is friendly. It’s a shame the food doesn’t match the beautiful setting

We spent one week at the "hotel", we had breakfast and dinner there. It was tasteless, there was too much oil everywhere and the food wasn't fresh at all. We travelled with a group of 30 people, after the third day everybody started feeling sick and had fever. After that we found out it was because of the food, and it was food poisoning. The breakfast and the dinner is nearly the same every second day. The staff at the restaurant was very unfriendly and rude. I wouldn't recommend this place at all.
