Due to recent refurbishment of the rooms, restaurant and pool plus the quality of food and branded drinks included, we reckon that while this hotel is officially a 4-star, it's more than worthy of a 5 star rating from we here at On the Beach.

• Main Restaurant - set in a great location overlooking the Ionian sea and the mainland, this spot serves buffet cuisine at breakfast, lunch and dinner with cooking shows taking place right in front of you, oh and it's had a full refurb recently too!

• Ionio - traditional Greek dishes are on offer at this a la carte poolside restaurant where you can grab buffet-style breakfast, or fine-dine dinner service (make sure you reserve for dinner!)

• Paralia - this a la carte restaurant offers a trip to Italy for a buffet-style lunch, then as the sun sets enjoy a twist on food from the Mediterranean with a unique spot right by the sea! (make sure you reserve for dinner, open 6 evenings a week!)

• Fancy a Snack? - stop off at the Burger Kiosk around the family pool for tasty burgers and chips, or if you're after something sweeter, head down to the beach! Located right next to the Paralia Restaurant, you'll find the Patisserie-Gelateria serving up delicious pastries, yoghurts, fresh fruit salads and 10 flavours of ice cream!

• Bar Wars - there are several on-site bars to quench your thirst either by the beach, near the family pool, by the infinity pool (this one does some top-notch snacks) or in the lobby (this one comes complete with a stun terrace), all serving internationally branded drinks, soft drinks, and some even offer those caffeine kicks of coffee!
