BED BUGS. I woke up at 4 am to bedbugs biting me. The guy at reception was pretty nice and apologetic and helped my sister and I get another room, but my parents had to stay in the infested room because there weren't any more available rooms. The next day, we spent 6 hours laundering all of our belongings and we asked them for a full refund. At first, they tried to just give us 20 euros as a solution, which we obviously didn't accept. We spoke in a very calm and civil manner with the manager and showed him the actual bedbugs that we'd kept in a cup. He finally agreed to give us a full refund BUT WE NEVER GOT IT. They only sent half the agreed amount, even after numerous emails. Would not recommend. 

bed bug nightmare

Great location for train station and tram network. Easily reached from airport. All staff were helpful, kind and attentive. Hotel room was clean. Breakfast selection was good- self service continental style. Lots of good restaurants in the area too.

Traditional hotel well placed for transport

The hotel is in a very central location. It's close to the main street and train station and walking distance to the coast. 
There was good storage space in the room with a storage unit to put your stuff in. The fridge was great to store liquids and breakfast items. There were also plenty of plug sockets to charge electronics. There was no kettle and the WiFi turned on and off so would not suit someone who needed WiFi for work. 

The bathroom was very small with only standing room. However, they utilised the space well. The bathroom had soap, shower gel and a hairdryer. The cleaners came everyday and gave us fresh towels and cleaned the bins. We found the staff very friendly. They would always greet us when we walked past reception.

The beds were very comfortable and the Aircon worked perfectly. The curtains are black out. We requested a quiet room. The  windows were soundproof and there was hardly any noise from the street. However you could hear the neighbours through the walls and in the corridor. 

Overall, we had a very good experience in this hotel as it is a budget hotel. We would stay again and recommend for the price and location. 

Very good experience for a budget hotel

I stayed there for a week as I was over doing an Erasmus trip. Hotel staff were lovely however my friend who I shared the room with ended up being very badly bitten by bed bugs. . We were moved to a smaller room wit a tiny bathroom. We emailed the hotels complaint manager and as of yet two weeks later have received no reply. Very disappointed by the customer service team.
