Overview

Days spent lazing in the seawater pool, nights spent clowning around (no, seriously - there are clown shows here) - that's just a snapshot of what a stay at Hotel Lone looks like. When you're not stretching yourself into all kinds of shapes at yoga, packing the kids off to 'little mermaid school' (it's as cool as it sounds) or loading up on sushi at the Japanese restaurant, there's even a language course so you can brush up on your Croatian. Sounds pretty darn dobro if you ask us. (That's good, if you're wondering. We thought we'd give you a head start.)

• On Restaurant - show-cooking stations, a big ol' buffet spread and floor-to-ceiling windows so you can dine with a view

• Restaurant E - eat like a local at this traditional Istrian restaurant, with slow-roasted veal, local cheeses and truffles appearing on the menu, washed down with a nice glass of Malvazija

• Tekka Japanese Restaurant - tuck into all the classics, from sushi to tuna tartare

• Lobby bar - aside from cocktails, sandwiches and burgers, this place has got some cracking views on offer

Sports & Entertainment

• Seawater pool - surrounded by pine trees and sun loungers, it's the perfect chill-out spot

• Kids' pool - this one's also filled with seawater, so the little ones have somewhere to paddle

• Zumba, fitness and aerobics

• Yoga and Pilates classes - held outdoors, so you can admire the view while you're in downward dog

• Kids' zone - kitted out with games consoles including Xboxes and Nintendo Switches

• Gym - with proper fancy cardio and strength training equipment

• Little mermaid school and kids' football school (during summer season only)
