Overview

When it comes to beaches (and with us, it always does), you'll have the pick of the bunch at this place. There are four within walking distance, so you can choose between pebbled coves and sandy spots. That's when you're not too busy making a complete flip-flop of yourself at aqua aerobics, catching a movie at the open-air cinema or packing the kids off to Maro Play Zone, with more games, toys and technology than they'll know what to do with. Yeah. There's a lot to do here.

• Valeta Beach is just a few minutes' walk away - it's paved, which means no sandy bottoms, and it's got loads of sports on offer, making it great for the kids

• There's a sandy beach a few minutes' away too, if you prefer somewhere softer to lay down a towel, or if the kids are begging to get their bucket and spade out

• Residence Beach is a few minutes North from the hotel, with a pebbled surface that gently slopes into the sea, and lots of natural shade from the trees

• Exclusive Beach is small, quiet and pebbly - overlooking the River Mirna. It's only a few minutes from the hotel, and it's got free reserved loungers for those staying in Tamaris Luxury Villas. Very boujee

• Pula Airport is a 50-minute drive away

• Rijeka International Airport is around 1 hour and 45 minutes away, by car

• Delfin a la carte - meat and seafood served right next to the beach - a.k.a. our fav place ever

• Maro Playzone - the kids will love it, and you'll be jealous of it. We definitely are. This place has got an open-air playground, adrenaline trails, chill-out corners, daily activities, discos, cartoon screenings at the outdoor cinema - the lot. There are different clubs for babies, tweens and teenagers, too - so everyone's happy!

• Tons of FREE sports and activities - including football, beach volleyball, basketball, lawn bowling, aqua aerobics, fitness classes and walking/jogging trails
