Overview

If you're wanting a whole lot of beach, you've got a whole lot of beach. No surprise that we love a beach, and this beach is so huge, you could probably walk a marathon, and STILL be on the beach. Makes room for plenty of activities, beach volleyball, a bit of swimming, or chill-axing by the beach bar sampling Cape Verdean rum (if you don't know, get to know). Whatever tickles your fancy. Now the beach isn't the only star of the show, there's an infinity pool and a gourmet restaurant where the food is so good, you get a 4-course tasting menu because you have to sample everything.

Just a heads up that because VOI Praia de Chaves Resort is situated on the Island of Boa Vista, unfortunately we don’t supply transfers to this hotel and you'll need to make your own arrangements to get to the hotel, we would advise you check these before booking.

Food & Drink

• Main Restaurant - we think you'll find everything you're craving here. from local dishes to grilled seafood, to an Italian corner with all the Italian staples, and kiddos there's even a designated corner for you

• Gourmet Restaurant - this place is *chef's kiss*, open exclusively for dinner this is the hot spot for tasty international dishes, and it's a 4-course tasting menu, so make sure you bring that appetite

• Pool Snack Bar - boasting different food and drink stations, depending on what you're fancying

• Beach Bar - the beach is so huge that they had to stick on a bar on there, what's a beach day without cocktails and snacks?

• Lobby Bar - sip on your fave drink any time of day, now we aren't telling you what to do, but you have to sample Cape Verdean rum

• Theater Bar - sat next to, you guessed it, the resort theater so you can enjoy top-notch live shows, with top-notch drinks

• Palapa Bar - sandwiched in between the pool and the beach, so if you're trying to decide which one to spend your day at, you might as well grab a drink whilst you think

24-hour All Inclusive includes a welcome cocktail, bottle of water in the room, breakfast, lunch and dinner in the main restaurant. Late breakfast and sweet and savoury snacks at Palapa Bar, local and international alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. Unlimited espresso. A traditional Cape Verdean dinner will be served at the main restaurant.

Just so you know, men are required to wear a shirt with sleeves all year round, and long trousers in winter when visiting both restaurants. The Gourmet Restaurant is an extra charge, a reservation is required.

Sports & Entertainment

• Main Swimming Pool - the best part of this is the infinity section for the best beachy views and a great Instagram pic

• Children's Pool - a smaller pool for the little ones to splash about

• Mini Club - the kids' clubs range from age 3 all the way up to 17, so stick'em in there and they'll have heaps of fun whilst you hit the spa

• Entertainment - plenty of daily activities to get stuck into, and evening shows five times a week

• Sporty Activities - if chilling on a lounger isn't your jam, then you'll love the number of activities you can get stuck into including archery, darts, an open-air fitness area, aqua fit and a gym (open 08:00 - 20:00)

• Spa - a relaxation pool for a bit of peace, a sauna, Turkish bath, jacuzzi and treatments all on offer
