Overview

This hotel's about as bright and sunny as they come, and not just because it's located along a beach called Golden Sands. Sounds like a racetrack from Mario Kart, but it's actually just a pretty epic stretch of the sandy stuff. • Main restaurant - Bulgarian and international dishes served in an open buffet at breakfast, lunch and dins - and there's even a mini buffet for the kids, so plenty of nuggs to go around for the picky-eaters

• Snack bar - if you can't bring yourself to leave the pool area for lunch, you can stop by here for pizza, waffles, salads, BBQ meats and sweet treats

• Pool bar - pick from a range of refreshing drinks served from 9am 'til 11pm, right by the relax pool

• Lobby bar - a cosy indoor bar, perfect for a bit of quiet time. You can sit out on the terrace for the full al fresco experience.

Sports & Entertainment

• Main pool - this bad boy's tucked away in the gardens, with a separate, shallow kids' section for the little ones - and it's even got a little curly slide so they can make a proper splash

• Relax pool - if you'd rather practice your breast-stroke in peace, this is the pool for you. It's still got a separate section for the kids, so don't worry - you don't need to leave them behind, but it's generally got a much more chilled vibe, and the cocktail bar definitely helps.

• Kids' corner - there's a playground with a slide, see-saw and crawling tunnel for the tots, as well as an indoor zone with colouring tables, and there are loads of activities put on by the hotel staff to keep them happy. Boredom? We don't know her.

• Daily activities - if sitting back on a sun lounger doing absolutely nothing isn't really your vibe, then you do you. Or, rather, you do water polo. Or darts. Or Zumba. Or billiards. You get the idea. There are a lot of activities to choose from here, so take your pick.
