Food & Drink

• Sugar Cane Room - the best way to start the day (not just because Breakfast is this spots forte), tuck into delish breads, muffins and sweet brekkie bites, or stop off at both the waffle station and egg station.

• Rilaks Deck and Bar - a casual beach-side location perfect for grazing on light-bites throughout the day and sipping on cocktails with the waves crashing nearby - sounds like bliss to us.

• 246 Restaurant and Bar - an oceanfront deck is the main event of this seaside restaurant. Picture it: a lovely lunch by the sand, or a gorge dinner under the stars, with a selection of local and international dishes to chow down on - perfection.

• Positano - this new dining spot is authentic Italian like fresh pasta and pizza signed, sealed and delivered to your table in Barbados (don't quote us on the signed and sealed part). (Reservations required, located at The House by Elegant Hotels).

• The Taste of Elegance - this Dine-Around programme is available with the Elegant Hotel sister properties.

Sports & Entertainment

• Swimming - dip into one of the three freshwater swimming pools perfect for the whole fam, or, if you're dying for some peace and quiet, then head to the adults-only relaxation pool.

• Sporty Bits - make the most of the toasty Barbados climes and try a variety of motorised and non-motorised water sports at the beach, including kayaking, waterskiing, banana boating, water trampolining and a tonne more. If the water ain't your style, there's also a fitness centre available for a vacay workout or two.

• Spa & Wellness - the perfect place to unwind after a busy morning of laying down, the hotel spa has plenty of treatments and therapies sure to have you feeling well rested and totally relaxed - you can even bag treatments for the kids, poolside massages, mani/pedis and more (some extra charges will apply).

• For the Kids - At Club Tamarind, teenagers can chill out and play games from table football to console gaming, or for younger ones there is The Flying Fish Kids Club, which offers plenty of exciting activities such as beach walks, pool games and movie nights.

• Entertainment - don't worry, you won't miss out on all the fun, there's a tonne going on for you too from beach volleyball to sip and paint sessions, or how about joining a Steelpan class, or belting one out on karaoke? There's even a selfie scavenger hunt... which is hands down the first thing we'd be signing up for.

• Getting About - a water taxi is available for transportation between select Elegant hotels along the west coast if you fancy jetting off like a celeb along the waves (weather permitting).
