Fuengirola offers over seven kilometres of pristine sandy beaches, split into distinct sections with their own personality. The Paseo Marítimo connects them all, making it easy to walk the whole stretch.

  • Playa de Fuengirola (Central Beach) - the main town beach, wide and well-facilitated, with rows of sunloungers, watersports operators, and beach bars (chiringuitos) along the whole length. Gets busy in peak summer, arrive early or head east for quieter sections.

How far is Fuengirola from Málaga Airport?

About 25km – about 20-30 minutes by car or taxi. There's also regular train connections via the C-1 Cercanías line that runs along the coast, making it dead easy to get around without a car. If you don't fancy getting your luggage onto, and off the train again though we can always sort your transfers when you book with us for pickup straight from the airport.

What's the Tuesday market like?

Massive! It's one of the largest street markets in southern Spain, with hundreds of stalls selling fresh produce, leather goods, clothes, jewellery, souvenirs, and loads more. Gets proper busy, so arrive early for the best stuff and easier browsing. It's along the seafront near the fairground – you can't miss it!

Is Fuengirola walkable?

Proper walkable! The town centre and beachfront promenade are flat and easy to navigate on foot. Everything's close together – beaches, shops, restaurants, the Tuesday market, and Sohail Castle are all within walking distance. If you want to explore further afield, the train's your best bet.
