• Aprokreas (February) - in the run-up to Lent, the island comes alive for three weeks of carnivals with parades, theatre, dance, and music.

• Easter (April) - the most important religious event in Greece, with processions and feasts all round.

• Christos Negkas Cinema (May-October) - the much-loved open-air cinema opens its doors for a season of films in the warm summer breeze.

• Party season (May-September) - all the clubs open and the mayhem begins, with live shows and parties every week.

• Panigiria (July/August) - for a more traditional style of party, look out for summer Panigiri events, where locals celebrate saints with performances, crafts, and feasting.

• GEM Fest (August) - a long-awaited celebration of electronic music comes to Keri Beach for three days of festival fun.

• Agios Dionysios celebrations (August and December) - three days of religious processions and feasting happen twice a year to honour the island’s patron saint Dionysios, in spectacular Greek Orthodox fashion.

Holidays in Laganas are known for party vibes that you can find at beach and pool parties by day, then on the strip at night. Here’s a little taste of what to expect:
